With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joan Marie Maier of Kalamazoo, Michigan, born in Brighton, Michigan, who passed away on April 25, 2023 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Ludtke and Ruth Ludtke (Foland). She is survived by: her husband Paul Maier; her daughters, Laura Alexander (Brett), Julie Joan Maier, Krista Klepchak (Zach) and Katie Maier-Toepper (Brad Toepper); her grandchildren, Christine, Nicole, Anna, Drew Alexander, Rachel, Mark Lugauer, Ben, Adam and Luke Klepchak; her sister Joyce Clark (Ken); and her pet Apollo William. She is also survived by niece, and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Binder Park Zoo, the Southwest Michigan Land Conservancy, or SPCA of Southwest Michigan.
