Janna Marie Zinn Obituary

A memorial service will be held with the date and time to be announced later. Memorial contributions may be made to Kalamazoo Gospel Ministries, c/o the funeral home.

Age 55 of Kalamazoo went to her eternal home late Monday night, March 24, 2025. Janna was born in Jackson, MI on September 9, 1969. At age 15 months she was adopted by David C. and Janet (Van Ostenbridge) Zinn. Janna attended Kalamazoo Christian Schools. She was employed as a security guard and process server. Janna was very social and made friends easily. She was a fan of University of Michigan sports. Janna loved the holidays and will be remembered for her almond-dipped pretzels which she liked to give as gifts. She was able to make her goal of living independently, despite her challenges. She touched many lives during her life. Janna was a former member of Immanuel Christian Reformed Church and later attended North Presbyterian Church with her dad. Her faith was an important element of her life and she was devoted to serving her Lord in whatever capacity she could. Janna is survived by her son, Isaiah Zinn; four grandchildren; father, David C. Zinn, Sr.; sister, Deborah (Tom) Palaszek; brother, John Marshall Zinn; sister-in-law, Brenda (Chris) Tirone; niece and nephews and many, many friends. Janna was preceded in death by her mother; brothers, David Zinn, Jr. and Daniel Zinn.
