He is survived by: his spouse Maruta Laurens (Smits); his son Andrejs Laurens (Tegan); his granddaughters, Ella and Olivia Laurens; his siblings, Marite Strautins and Jazeps Laurens; and his goddaughter Laila Porter (Chris). He is also survived by his children and grandchildren.
