Janice Mary Weessies Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Janice Mary Weessies in Kalamazoo, Michigan, who passed away on July 5, 2023 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Sidney Harris and Virginia R. Harris (Derouin); her parents-in-law, Edward H. Weessies and Lena Weessies; and her sister-in-law Lea Harris.
She is survived by: her husband Edward J. Weessies; her children, Kimberly Wiseman (Ron Crowell) and Michael Weessies of Laketon Township; her grandchildren, Nicholas Cooper, Arianna Wiseman, Hannah, Connor and Emily Weessies; her brothers, Robert Harris (Dee), Norman Harris (Susan) and David Harris (Christine); and her cousin Michael Harris (Diane). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, as well as a host of friends.
She served as a volunteer, doing inoculations, with the Muskegon County Citizens' Corps during the H1N1 pandemic.
Memorial Contributions may be directed to the Prince of Peace Building Fund, The Muskegon Area Nurse Honor Guard, or Gentiva Hospice.
