James S. Platt Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James S. Platt (Kalamazoo, Michigan), who passed away on November 5, 2022 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Platt and Hilda Platt (Luedecking); and his siblings, Evelyn (Walters) and Russell Norman. He is survived by: his children, Susan Centilla (Jim), Mary Deneau (Steve) and James Winfield Platt (Laura); his wife Sallie (Glenn); his sister-in-law Jean Warfield; his grandchildren, Justin, Angie, Elizabeth, Adam, Rachael, Kayla, Devon and Aliya; and his great grandchildren, Gavin, Zaden, Cameron, Kayla, Noah, Aydan, Allison, Alyza, Marek, Tayson, Legend and Jeymari. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made in Jim's name to the Battle Creek VA Medical Center or SPCA of Southwest Michigan.
