He was predeceased by: his parents, Les Vandenberg and Wilma Vandenberg (Tuin); and his son James Roy Vandenberg. He is survived by: his wife Martha Vandenberg (Marti); his daughters, Amy Moorlag (Steve) and Michelle Devine (David "Cliff" Haley); his grandchildren, Christopher Vandenberg, Daniel White, Lesli White, Parker White, Travier Moorlag and Taylor Devine; his great grandchildren, Nate, Chloe, Luna, Malaki, Liam, Denzel, Ronan, Christopher and Brailee; and his sister Judy Mann (Rick).
Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 4th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes - Westside Chapel (3926 S 9th St, Kalamazoo, MI 49009).
Donations in memory of James may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
