He was predeceased by: his parents, Adrian Heystek and Helen Heystek (Koster); his granddaughter Emily Jo; and his siblings, John Heystek, Karen Dekkinga and Gerard Heystek.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Heystek; his children, Susan Renema (Doug) and Ron Heystek (Deb); his grandchildren, Caitlin Thrasher (Steve), Rebecca Koch (Max), Michael Renema (Hunter), Travis Heystek (Hannah) and Jimmy Heystek (Liz); and his great grandchildren, Charlotte, Payton Koch, Addison, Lauren Renema, Emerson and Henry Heystek.
