He was predeceased by: his wife Susan Theal Madden; and his parents, Ira C. Madden and Emma G. Madden. He is survived by: his children, Anne Madden (Dana Morse) of Berkeley, CA and Al Madden of Sacramento, CA; and his sister Gloria Carlson (Stephen) of Shell Lake, WI. He is also survived by two nieces and a nephew.
