He was predeceased by: his mother Ezella Ray. He is survived by: his wife Venah Ray; his sister Eva Ray Long (Orrin); and his children, Donald Gregory Ray (Unita), Robyn Carter (Vincent), Renee McParlan (Jeff) and Melissa Ray. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great and great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
