Gloria Jean Agate Obituary

In place of donations, the family asks that you spend time with your mothers, while you can. If they have already passed, there are plenty of places that work with seniors who would love help from volunteers. Your time is the most precious thing you can give. Cremation has taken place and there will be no services, per her wishes.

Gloria passed away 6-26-24 at the age of 83 years young. She was the daughter of the late Floyd Cartwright from Kalamazoo, Michigan and the late Pauline O'Connell from Folsom, California. Gloria was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She has a sister, Phyllis Cartwright from Folsom, California and two brothers, Glenn Cartwright from Folsom, California and the late Ronald Cartwright from Sebastian, Florida.

Gloria Married Earl Alfred Agate on March 1, 1963 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. They have two children, Andrew Agate from Kalamazoo, his wife Lisa (Herrick) and Cheryl Agate from Harbor Springs, Michigan.

She has four grandchildren, Kelsey and Travis Olvitt from Harbor Springs, Michigan and Sarah (Agate) Booher and Justin Agate from Kalamazoo, Michigan.

Gloria was a member of The Red Hat Ladies Club and enjoyed her time with them. She also enjoyed her time with her children, grandchildren and two great grandchildren, people watching, traveling, doing interior decorating in her home, learning to knit and taking a train from Kalamazoo to Sacramento, California. Gloria has travelled in all but four states in the United States with her late husband.
