She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter Balkema and Marie Balkema (VanderRoest); her siblings, Henry (Anne) and Jane (Vernon Geschwendt); her son Paul Batts; her son-in-law Steve Gibson; and her grandfather Debbi Batts of Aurora.
She is survived by: her former husband Bert Batts; her children, Debbi and Betty; her former husband Doug Getchell; her husband Wilbur Zook; her sisters, Donna DenHarder (Marinus) and Christina Beauchamp (Dale); her son Steve Batts (Katie); and her grandchildren, Nela Williams (Jesse), Christopher Gibson, Lindsay Rodriguez (Michael), Bethany Batts (Andy Armstrong), Amanda Batts (Nick Byers) and Sean Batts (Cassandra Cushman). She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.
