He was predeceased by: his parents, Nels Engman and Mildred Engman (Marlett); and his children, Erick, Christopher and Diane.

He is survived by: his wife Lila (Quinlan); his daughter Katherine Little; his grandsons, Gerald Engman II (Amber), Erick Engman and Damion Little; his great grandchildren, Abel and Madison; and his sister Betty Gage.
