It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Garrett Groenewold (Kalamazoo, Michigan), who passed away on September 18, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Groenewold and Klaaske Groenewold (Tamminga); and his siblings, Geert, Henk, Willem and Ely.
He is survived by: his wife Wilma Oosterhuis; his children, Karin Izenbaard (Tim) and Rob Groenewold (Sharon); his grandchildren, Nicole Sampson (Kevin), Danielle Lackie (Craig), Matthew Izenbaard (Melissa), Courtney Knewston (David), Kaylee Flieman (Tyler), Garrett Groenewold and Brittney Steenwyck (Quinten); and his great grandchildren, Olivia, Max Sampson, Patrick, Erin Lackie, Addie Grace, Charlotte Izenbaard and Elliott Flieman.
