He was predeceased by: his parents, Maydie Kelly and Sherman Kelly; his wife Theobia L. Kelly; and his children, Greg Kelly, Royce Ogburn and Freddie Mae Davis.

He is survived by: his brother Willie S. Kelly (Pokey); his granddaughter Aleigha Kelly; his children, Thea, Rosa, Dwight, Shawn and Michael; his grandchildren, Julian Bundle, Theron Brooks (Courtney), Imani Kelly, Sherry and Steven Kelly; and his great grandchild Aline Wilkins (Toy).
