He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Burgwald and Dorothy Burgwald (Rector); his wife Lucille Chadderdon; his daughter Rita Parshall; his granddaughter Tammy Parshall; and his siblings, Walter, Bob, Frank Burgwald, Jim Johnson, Florence Burchett, Barbara DeBoer and Zelma Belkoski.
He is survived by: his son Ray Burgwald (Pat); his grandsons, Travis, Raymond and Justin; his great grandchild Cameron Parshall; and his sister Noreen Knowlton. He is also survived by many nieces & nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Kalamazoo Nature Center, The Kalamazoo Civic, or The Congregation of St. Joseph.
