He was predeceased by: his wife Evelyn Berens; his granddaughter Beth Berens; his brother Bob Berens; and his siblings-in-law, Alice Berens and Bernie Capel.
He is survived by: his children, Dale Berens (Linda), Loren Berens (Diane), Karen Kreuze (Jerry) and Jane Beller; and his siblings, Keith Berens (Sindy), Harwyn Berens (Harlyth) and Evelyn Capel. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren.
