She was predeceased by: her parents, Lee Ambrose Johnson, Sr. and Christine Nabors Johnson; her husband George Buchanan; her daughter Eugenia; her stepmother Hattie Johnson; and her sister Lou Bertha Pearson.
She is survived by: her children, Charlene of Dallas, Dianna (Alvis) of Kalamazoo, Richard of Kalamazoo and Victor (Mary) of Kalamazoo; her siblings, Thelma (Rueben), Patricia, Lisa, Lee Jr., Alphonso Theodore (Junell), Melvin of Atlanta, GA, Anthony and Steve of Grand Rapids, Michigan; her brother-in-law Larry Pearson; and her goddaughter Contina Hudson. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild as well as a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, many friends.
