We are sad to announce that on September 17, 2021, at the age of 88, Elfriede T. Hughes (Kalamazoo, Michigan) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Josef Ruf and Anna Ruf (Haug); her husband Clarence Hughes; her children, Philip Hughes, Ora Hughes, Anita Hughes and Ingrid Hughes; and her grandson Robbie Smith.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sonja Hughes of Kalamazoo and Brigitte Hughes of Kalamazoo; and her daughter-in-law Suzanne Knight. She is also survived by siblings in Germany; many nieces and nephews; and countless friends.
