He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Ollie Bell Sykes (Ivy); his children, Dwight Matthews of Kalamazoo, Pamela Rantz (Chris) of Kalamazoo, Valerie Henderson (Octavian) of Kalamazoo, Marquis Kelly of Kalamazoo and Erica S Hart; his father Tommie Lee Sykes, Sr. of Kalamazoo; his siblings, Tommie Lee Sykes, Jr. (Turissie), Herbert Sykes, Thimothy Davenport, Talanda Sykes and Tijuana Edwards (Tyrone); his close friend Craig Clomon of Atlanta, GA.; and his brother Lamar Sykes. He was also cherished by grandchildren, and great grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Portage Zhang Senior Center (203 E Centre Ave, Portage, MI 49024).
