With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy E. Hay (Kalamazoo, Michigan), who passed away on August 31, 2021 at the age of 100. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Sallie McNeill (Sherrard) and Thomas Allen Bell; her former husband Carl Edward Henby; her husband Robert W. Hay, Sr.; her siblings, Elizabeth Tullis, Catharine Shields Purcell, Virginia Webster, Mildred Cox and Allan Bell; her stepson Robert W. Hay, Jr.; her niece Barbara Bell Plummer; and her nephews, Benjamin Shields, William Tullis and Thomas Cox.

She is survived by: her son John Edward Henby of Galesburg, MI; her grandchildren, Lisa Henby of Waconia, MN and Scott Henby (Nora) of Washington, DC; her great grandchildren, John Michael Henby and Samuel Christopher Henby; her stepchildren, Timothy Hay (Brenda) of North Carolina, Nancy Hay of LaSalle, IL and Janet Corr (Michael) of Chicago, IL; her stepgrandchildren, Shannon Martin, Brittany Hay, Jennifer Hay, Kyle Halterman, Joseph Hay, Crystal Corr and Angelina Corr; her nieces and nephews, Norma Tullis Puckett, Carson Tullis, Linda Tullis Mix, Ted Shields (Joyce), Fred Shields, Larry Bell, Patricia Cox Thompson and Robert Cox; and also Lee Henby (Meyer) of Portage, MI.
