Dorothy Jean Belmont Obituary
We are sad to announce that on September 4, 2023, at the age of 86, Dorothy Jean Belmont of Kalamazoo, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Simmons and Ruby (McCracken); her sisters, Mary Pape and Wilma Nabors; her close friend Don; her siblings-in-law, Wilda Henderson and Henry Pape; and her daughter-in-law Deb Shannon.
She is survived by: her children, Frankie Butler (Rick), Vickie Milowe and Rick Shannnon; her grandchildren, Kevin (Angela), Sydney, Leah, Matthew, Michael, Phillip, Sarah (Mike), Joseph (Jolene) and Mary (Ricky); her siblings, Doug Henderson and Carol Stamp Brooks; and her friend Patricia Brockway. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of Dorothy may be made to Kalamazoo SPCA.
