She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald Pastoor and Mina Pastoor (Broekema); her husband Frederick Penning; her sister Joyce Gjeltema (Henry); and her son Thomas Penning.
She is survived by: her children, Gary Penning (Sally), Carol Morgan (David), Timothy Penning (Lauri) and Christopher Penning (Dawn); and her cousins, Greta Rey and Ruth Fletcher. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Heritage Christian Reformed Church (2857 S 11th St, Kalamazoo, MI 49009). A funeral service was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
