He was predeceased by: his parents, George Kersen and Anna Van Kersen (Kreeger); his wife Genevieve E. Tripp; his daughter Lynn; his son-in-law Patrick Vallier; and his stepsiblings, George Van Kersen (Charlene) and Evelyn Meek.
He is survived by: his daughter Sue McCauley (Dan); his grandchildren, Brant Vallier (Liz), Ryan Vallier (Shannon), Kellan McCauley (Ashley) and Jacob McCauley (Marcy); his great grandchildren, Tyler, Hannah, Emma, Nathan, Ryan, Jr., Braylen and Bo Vallier; and his brother-in-law David Trip (Beth).
