Donald R. Corstange Obituary
With solemn reverence, we commemorate Donald R. Corstange of Kalamazoo, Michigan, whose life came to an end on April 2, 2025 at the age of 94, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Corstange and Jenny Corstange (Walhout); his siblings, Peter Corstange (Fannie), Jacob Corstange (Bea), William Corstange (Jennie), Dorothy Nord (Jacob), John Corstange (Donna), Adrian Corstange (Dena), Marie Crist (Ted), Nellie VanderMeer (Gare), Tressa Johnson (Gare), Jeanette Dirkse (Don) and Betty Smith (Andy); and his in-laws, Jacob, Nellie Nieuwenhuis, Bill, Eleanore Nieuwenhuis, Jack and Helga Nieuwenhuis.
He is survived by: his wife Dena Corstange (Nieuwenhuis); his children, Dawn Asma (Cal), Deb Visser (Harold) and Doug Corstange (Charlotte); his grandchildren, Andrew Asma (Sarah), Mark Asma (Tina), Nathan Asma (Amy), Daniel Visser (Kari), Tom Visser (Alexis), Maria Hampton (Nate), Sam Visser (Alliefair), Eden Corstange, Emily Aldrich (Michael), Erica Thompson (Derek) and Jordan Corstange (Gina); and his in-laws, Peg, Bob Hoogendoorn, Karen, Fred Reams, Norma and Al Collison. He is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Monday, April 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 14th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Heritage Christian Reformed Church (2857 S 11th St, Kalamazoo, MI 49009).
