Donald D. Buell Obituary
A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 24, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Joldersma & Klein Funeral Home, 917 S. Burdick St., Kalamazoo. Friends may call on the family one hour prior to the service beginning at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to West Michigan Cancer Center; in c/o the funeral home.
Age 78, passed away on Sunday morning, May 19, 2024. Don was born in Kalamazoo on October 2, 1945, the son of Donald Clayton and Leta Violet (Griffin) Buell. On December 2, 1966, he married Patricia Hambright who survives him. Don was an avid fisherman. He also liked watching television crime shows cartoons, and documentaries. Nascar was another favorite past-time. Nothing gave him more pleasure than his grandchildren, and he loved to tease them. Besides his wife, Don is survived by his children, Donald Buell III, Jennifer (Jerry) DeRyke; grandchildren, Rosie (Greg) Wolfe, Lindsey Gray, Donald (Michele) Prosser IV, Coryn (Dylan) Buell, Kyler (Travis) Buell, Larry Buell, Levi Buell; eleven great grandchildren; brother, Ron Buell; several nieces and nephews; and countless friends. Don was preceded in death by his parents; a great grandson; a sister; two brothers.
