He was predeceased by: his son Derek Wheeler; his father Harvey Blake Gardner; and his sister Debra Ann Johnson. He is survived by: his mother Betty Jean Gardner; his children, Damica L. Gibbs and Courtney B. Gardner; his siblings, Sheila Gilland (David) and Curtis Gardner (Elaine); his grandchildren, Daquan Gibbs and Dyesha Gibbs; and his great grandchildren, Daquan Gibbs, Jr. and Zaylen Coleman. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, other relatives and friends.
