We are sad to announce that on September 22, 2023, at the age of 72, David Babcock (Kalamazoo, Michigan) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father Richard Babcock; and his former wife Cynthia Babcock. He is survived by: his friends, Richard and Dorothy Babcock; his wife Julie Minger; his children, Ben Babcock (Jasmine), Holly Rowland (Jereme) and Kristin Graham (Greg); his mother Dorothy Babcock; his stepchildren, Leann Dreher (Mathieu Bray), Hilary Dreher (Alex Bell) and Dash; and also David. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to SPCA of Southwest Michigan or the Kalamazoo Humane Society.

“Coach Babcock was a huge influence in my life. He was my teacher & Coach from 7th grade thru my graduation in 1981. He always held me accountable and brought out the best in me and all of us. I will always remember catching in balls from the outfield as he threw batting practice, telling me stories and making comments about my teammates, it was a secret little bond we developed. You never wanted to let Coach down, he was a mentor, coach and a huge influence on so many of us. Best, John Scott”
