He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Harold Batey and Marian Batey (Shafer); his wife Vickie Lynne; his children, David (Sandra) of Boerne, TX, Chad Wayne (Shannon) of Three Rivers, Scott Eric (Patti) of Marshall and Sarah Marie Pease (Trevor) of Scotts; and his siblings, Robert Owen of Kalamazoo, Deborah Hartmann (John) of Galesburg and Pam Peacock of Columbia, TN. He was also cherished by several nieces & nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Battle Creek VA, West Michigan Cancer Center and the Ft. Custer Honor Guard.
