Charles R. Cook Obituary
In accordance with his wish cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life will be announced at a later date. Memorial may be made to the Cook Family (checks payable to Jimmy Grimm), c/o the funeral home.
Age 76, passed away at Centrica Rose Arbor Place on February 21, 2024. Charles was born in Bellaire, MI, the son of the late Samuel and Lucille Cook. While the children were young, they moved to Comstock, MI. After graduating high school, Charles enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1966. After basic training he served his time in Okinawa until being discharged in 1969. After his service he returned to Michigan and began working at Professional Cleaning Services, Maintenance Masters and finally Heritage Guitar where he was employed as a Luthier until retiring. He was a member of the Otsego Moose Lodge and a thirty-year volunteer at the Wheatland Music Festival, where he worked in communications. He enjoyed camping and going to music festivals. Charles kind smile and laughter will be missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his sons, Andrew (Nicole Duda) Cook, Jimmy (Lisa Barrett) Grimm, Rick (Kristen) Peebles; sister, Pat (Harvey) Hanna; brother, Jeff (Joni) Cook; five grandchildren, Zack and Jesse Peebles, Allyssa Jones, Devin Cook and Addison Duda-Cook; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
