She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Yelta Bussema and Emily Bussema (Weeks); her husband Richard Thurman Ellis; her son Richard Ellis (Carie) of Toledo, Ohio; her grandchildren, William (Bill), Burke (Marie), Mark Burke, Charles E. Griffith, III (Lori) and Angela Mobley (Griffith); and her sisters, Arleta Vanderhoef, Shirley Smith and Carlene Kay Atwell (Richard). She was also cherished by numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Methodist Church in Athens, Michigan or to Hospice of Southwest Michigan.
