Thompson (Kalamazoo, Michigan), born in Muskegon, Michigan, who passed away on September 14, 2022, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Alden VanWormer and Estella VanWormer (Gaunt); her brothers, Jerry and Jimmy VanWormer; her parents-in-law, Frank and Barbara Thompson; her siblings-in-law, Jim Adrion, Robert, Roger Thompson and Cindy Thompson; and her nephew Aaron Thompson.

She is survived by: her children, Angela Gibbons (James), Kevin Thompson (Sarah) and Matthew Thompson (Megan); her grandchildren, Alexis, Kristen Gibbons, Todd, Tylor McClain, Marc Thrasher, Micah, Sebastian and Gabriel Thompson; her sister Peggy Adrion; her sisters-in-law, Shelly Thompson (Earl) and Connie Thompson; and her aunt Sharon Doelker. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and many close friends.

Cathy spent numerous years volunteering for Great Lakes Burn Camp and the family requests that memorial contributions in her memory may be made to Great Lakes Burn Camp or the family (checks payable to Randy Thompson), c/o the funeral home.
