With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carol L. Wagner-Sopjes (Kalamazoo, Michigan), who passed away on April 3, 2021 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Henry Engberts and Henrietta Engberts (Penning); her former husband Bruce Douglas Wagner; her husband Donald Sopjes; her children, Scott Wagner (June) of Jenison Michigan, Cheryl Haupt (Ray) of Eldora and Kathy Fitch (Curt) of Jenison Michigan; her grandchildren, Julie Korienek (Steve), Jason Wagner (Kellie), Sara Travis (Todd), Aaron Fitch, Todd, Jamie Haupt, Karla Vos (David), Kevin Haupt, Randy Haupt and Sandy Kuester (Jason); and also, David Wagner (Linda) of Kalamazoo, David Sopjes (Barbara), Bob Sopjes (Winnie), Marcia Toennessen (Dennis) and Jack Sopjes. She was also cherished by children, her beloved great grandkids.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in honor of Carol to the Kalamazoo Christian School Association or Third Christian Reformed Church of Kalamazoo.
