It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Carnell Johnson of Kalamazoo, Michigan, born in Covington, Tennessee, who passed away on May 2, 2021, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ben Johnson and Lucille Johnson; and his siblings, Levi Johnson, A. D. Johnson, Charles Johnson, Eddie B. Johnson, Jeanette Udley and Dorothy Alston.
He is survived by: his wife Lee Ethel Johnson; his sister Charlotte Johnson; and his children, Sherry Bragg, Deneen Johnson, Gina Johnson and Carnell Johnson Jr. (Jen). He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
There are Covid-19 restrictions in place: a 25 person maximum indoors at a time and masks and social distancing are required.
