He was predeceased by: his parents, Simon Miersma and Alice Miersma (Klaver); his siblings, Dorothy Solomon (Roy), Lois Herder and Dan Miersma (Mary); and his daughter-in-law Vicki Miersma.
He is survived by: his spouse Marguerite G. Nieboer; his children, Thomas Miersma (Janice), Paul Miersma (Nancy), Timothy Miersma and Marcia Triemstra (Daniel); his sisters, Betty Schippers (Clarence) and Ruth Hanko (Fred); and his brother-in-law Vern Herder. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
