She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Lewnfield and Florence Lewnfield (Quarry); her husband George Merrill; her children, Michael Merrill and Holly Merrill; her sons-in-law, Richard Johnson and Richard Weston; and her brothers, Rex Lewnfield, Jim Lenfield and Paul Lewnfield.

She is survived by: her children, Kathy Copeland, Julia Reslock (James) of Kalamazoo, Kim Merrill of Kalamazoo, Lyn Johnson of Surprise, AZ, Christine Menzies of Sacramento, CA, Melissa Weston of Kalamazoo and Denise Green (Jim) of Kalamazoo. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; a multitude of nieces and nephews.
