He was predeceased by: his parents, Barney Westra and Florence Westra; his wife Shirley Ann Westra (Holtman); his parents-in-law, Adolph and Margaret Holtman; his brother John Westra; and his sister-in-law Linda Hurley.
He is survived by: his children, Stephen Westra (Joy), Robinne Helsel (Toddy), Amy Block (Tom) and BJ Westra (Cheryl); his grandchildren, Danielle Westra, Jordan Westra (Meagan), Nicholas Crandall (Melissa), Cameron Ramer (Chelsea), Brynn Colwell (Larry), Brice Ramer, Kayleigh Veldt (Matt), Lauren Riley (Michael), Marquette Block, Savannah Lemmer (Kyle), Brooklyn Hatfield (William), Mackinney Block, Joshua Westra (Linnea) and Levi Westra; his siblings, Patricia Pinkster (Jerry), Herman Westra (Georgia), Marian VanDyk (Melvin), Marilynn Hoeksema (Dale) and Karl Westra (Kristine); and his sister-in-law Judy Kline (John). He is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
