She is survived by: her children, April Goodwin (Vance), Suzen of Washington and James Jr. (Amy) of Kalamazoo; her brother Charles Elliott (Judy) of Kalamazoo; her siblings-in-law, Clarissa Hale of Springfield, Ill, Diane Hammuck of Springfield, Ill, Oshia of Springfield, Ill and Michael of Houston, TX.; her grandchildren, Me'Shale Hinton (Bryan) of Suffolk, VA, Ra'Shel Abbott (James), Ryan (Elizabeth) of Washington, Vance Goodwin II of Kalamazoo, MI, Dawnielle Goodwin of Norfolk, VA, Brooklyn of Alanta, GA and Taylor of Chicago, IL; and her cousin Erma Prude (Sally). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
