Arend Gritter Obituary

We are sad to announce that on November 10, 2021, at the age of 92, Arend Gritter of Kalamazoo, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Evert Gritter and Jantze Gritter (Jonker); his wife Johanna Gritter (Glas); and his grandson Michael Lawrence. He is survived by: his sons, Marvin Gritter (Susan) of Otsego, Jeff Gritter (Judy) of Kalamazoo, Mark Gritter (Cherri) of Plainwell and Joel Gritter (Jody) of Kalamazoo; his grandchildren, Nicole Balkema (Steve), Luke Gritter (Heather), Benjamin Gritter, Molly Gritter, Logan Gritter, Andrea Gritter, Mallori Gritter, Mitchell Lawrence, Grace Gritter and Colin Gritter; his great grandchildren, Emma, Corbin and Harper Balkema; and his parents-in-law, Carol Glas of Orlando, FL, Grace Mulder of Kalamazoo, Joe Glas of Portage, Jim and Grace Pestoor of Kalamazoo. He is also survived by cousins and best friends.
