Anthony M. Congo Obituary

In accordance with his wish cremation will take place and private remembrances will be held. Memorial may be made to the Kalamazoo Humane Society, c/o the funeral home.

Age 76, passed away at the Laurels of Bedford on February 11, 2024. He was born in Brooklyn, NY, the son of the late Joseph and Marie (Gismondi) Congo. Tony grew up in New York and always carried the city in his heart. Later in life he moved to Kalamazoo to be closer to family and friends. He attended St. Joseph Catholic Church, loved spending time in nature and kayaking on the local lakes and rivers. His true passion was caring for animals, and he was especially fond of his pet cats. Tony's laughter and smile will be missed by those who knew him. He is survived by a dear friend, Jean Buonvicino, extended relatives and friends.
