She was predeceased by: her parent Irene Jones-Heard; her son Van Marton; her grandmother Easter Bowens; her siblings, Jimmie Heard and Lorine Wilson; and her foster mother Hettie L. Lumpkin.
She is survived by: her children, Sandra Webb, Kelvin Marton (Terrie), Osric Marton (Zeljka), Dennis Marton (Tonya) and Dan Marton (Tammy); her siblings, Rommie Jones, Charlie Heard, Jr., Kenny Heard, Larry Heard, Eloise Hayden, Norma Jean Gregory, Brenda Brandon (Jerry), Mary Ann Heard and Mildred Crump; her aunts, Joann Leach and Bessie Pickett; and her uncle Arthur Jones. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
