He was predeceased by: his parents, Elnora Burns and Clarence Pierson; his sons, Stanley Williams and Jim Jerry Hampton; and his siblings, Darlene Henry, Mable Henry, Evelyn Tynes (Ivo), Mary Ann Pierson, Lula Mae Taylor, Johnie Miller Pierson (Loretta) and Clarence Pierson, Jr..
He is survived by: his children, Cheryl Johnson (Ricky), Tonya Pierson Collins (James "Petey") and LeShon Pierson (Stephanie); his grandchildren, Kaii Williams, Patrick Pierson, Shashena Pierson, Roketa, James Collins, Ciara Collins, Devante Pierson, Siani Johnson, William Collins and Camille Collins; his great grandchildren, Khalil and Kaylana Jones; his siblings, Naydine Pierson, Joyce Hampton (Zebedee) and Anthony Pierson; his cousins, Buzette Jackson and James Palmore; and his niece Theresa Johnson. He is also survived by children and grandchildren.
