He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Hayes and Rutha Hayes (Drummonds); and his siblings, Coy Hayes, Pauline Wiginton, Wanda Gentil and Owen Hayes.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Anne Saylor Hayes; his children, Mary Ann Hayes of Arizona, Susan Hayes (Fran Stahl) of Portland, Paul Hayes (Terri) of Denver, Kathy Moore (Bob) of Edwards, Colorado, Todd Hayes (Shelley Boa) of Ann Arbor and Tracy Hayes of Hillsdale; his grandchildren, Alexis Cecil (Justin), Matthew and Isabella Francuck; and his great grandchildren, Cullan and Caelyn Cecil.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Jonesville First Presbyterian Church, Hospice of Hillsdale County or the City of Jonesville.
