He was predeceased by: his parents, Elsworth Rice and Rose Rice (Fischer); his son Richard Lee Rice Jr.; his siblings, Fran Bowers (Milton) and Herb Rice; and his brother-in-law Dave Coldren.
He is survived by: his wife Marti Rice of Jonesville; his daughters, Karol Germany of Brecksville, Dena Rushton (Alan) of Mosherville, Gena Foulk of Jonesville, Lee Ann Jones (Tim) of Hillsdale, Halee Jordan (Fred) of Seward and Holly Rice (Samantha) of Delta, Ohio; his siblings, Betty Coldren of Madison, Marian Seevers of Springfield, Missouri, Bud Rice of Hillsdale and Don Rice (Mary) of Lynchburg, Virginia; and his sister-in-law Carolyn Rice. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren.
