He is survived by: his spouse Eleanor "Betty" Bean; his children, Ruth Powers of Austin, Paul Powers (Christina) of Allen, Ron Coon (Mary) of Traverse City, Charles Coon of Cheyenne and Robin Gissal (John) of South Haven; and his brothers, Ward Powers (Lauren) of Naples and John Powers (Karin) of Seattle. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren.
