He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Houseknecht and Rachel Houseknecht (Corylel); and his siblings, Dean, Fred Houseknecht and James Potter.
He is survived by: his wife Irene Butler; his great grandchild Landen; his children, Angela Crafts, Doug Clark of Reading, Greg Shepherd of Jonesville, Randi Daniels (Troy) of Pittsburg, PA, Michael Butler (Kimberly) of Southgate, Scott Houseknecht (Sherry) of Litchfield and Tammy Daglow of Jonesville; and his sisters, Ellen of Jonesville and Joan Conklin of Jonesville.
