He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father William; his wife Beatrice Burke; his children, Brenda Smith (Bruce) of Brownstown Township, Craig Simpson (Jennifer) of Durham, Claudette Blue (Daniel) of Williamsburg and Jeffrey Simpson (Roberta) of Ypsilanti; his grandchildren, Casey Smith, Jacqueline Blue, Ashley Blue, Sean Simpson, Caitlin Simpson and Kylee Simpson; his stepdaughters, Sherry Kirkland (John) of Hudson, Sheila Cusson of Dundee and Sonja Stogsdill (Eddie) of Clinton; his former wife Peggy Stapleton; and his daughter Linda Lee. He was also cherished by great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Hillsdale Salvation Army.
