He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Bartell and Mirian Bartell (March); his stepmother Mildred Huested; his son Mike; and his siblings, Dorothy, Irving and Nancy.
He is survived by: his children, Vicky MacRitchie (Brian) of Bend, Susan Horton (Larry) of Hillsdale, Mark Bartell (Renee) of Beulah and Fred Bartell (Margaret) of Eureka Spring. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren.
