He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Steven and Mary Marie Zakrzewski (Delater); his former wife Sharon; and his stepdaughter Kay Hartman. He is survived by: his wife Mary Buchanan; his sons, Pete and Joe Zakrzewski; his stepchildren, Paul Potter, Lisa Lammott and AJ Hartman; his granddaughter Samantha; his sister Joanna Herrmann (Victor); his nieces, Laura and Mary Lou Wilson; and his nephew Matthew.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left for the Newberg Township Fire Station.
