He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Harter and Arlene Harter (Gest); his wife Charlotte Stone; and his siblings, Coral, June and Raymond.
He is survived by: his daughters, Lesa Dowden (David) of Cassopolis, Cynthia Ohner (Ron) of Lehigh Acres, FL and Rhonda Cloud (Matthew) of Union; his sisters, Judy Knight of White Pigeon and Ellen Quinn; and his half-brother John Harter (Barb) of Sturgis. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to the Elkhart Humane Society.
