He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Clarence, Phyllis Petrie, Ezra and Gertrude Wireman; his father-in-law Mike Hart; his brother-in-law Bill Kahl; and his uncles, Jim Petrie and Robert Wireman.
He is survived by: his parents, Robert Petrie and Shelvia Petrie; his wife Kimberly; his siblings, Jeannie Kahl, Carol Petersheim (Dave) and Steve Petrie (Pam); his children, Emily Bach (Johnathan), Jacob, Dustin, Amber and Lydia Petrie; and his grandchildren, Andrew, Annabelle, Thomas, Philip and Mya. He is also survived by family members and dear, dear friends.
In lieu of flowers those who wish may give memorial contributions to Child Evangelism Fellowship or Berean Armed Forces Ministries.
